London Fashion Week

SS27

Hair & Care partnered with Harris Reed for their SS27 show, held in the gold-gilded ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Guests were welcomed to a private post-show touch tour held at Harris’ atelier, to explore the intricacy of his collection up close - translating the atmosphere and audio features experienced at the show to touch and feel of some of the key pieces, learning more about the collection inspiration and design processes. As the first Demi-Couture designer to embrace accessibility with MFA, Harris Reed’s partnership with Hair & Care signals a meaningful step forward. His work - bold, theatrical and sculptural - challenges perceptions and celebrates both inclusion and self-expression. Values that fit in harmony with Making Fashion Accessible. Our work across the season was featured on Service 95, Dazed Beauty and more.

  • 'Being able to meet other guests with sight loss, handle the tactile swatches and access detailed audio descriptions before the show meant I arrived with a much richer understanding of the collection than would normally be possible. Rather than feeling like an observer on the edge of the experience, I felt genuinely included in it.'

—JANE MANLEY, Deaf-blind Data Analyst, RNIB

  • 'Thank you for all you and the team are doing to inspire and instil confidence in blind and partially sighted people to pursue fashion as either an interest, hobby or as a career. The swatch booklets and audio descriptions were brilliant, well timed and well detailed.'

—TIFFANY WOODS, VI Director, Activities & Impact at VICTA

  • 'This is an invaluable experience enabling me to feel fashion is accessible to all, by improving representation. Initiatives like this not only empower individuals but facilitate a wider industry shift by raising awareness and encouraging a ‘ripple effect’, whereby people look at fashion through a more holistic lens.'
