Hair & Care feature in the Met Museum, New York
10 May 2026We're thrilled to announce that Hair & Care Making Fashion Accessible initiative has been recognised in The Metropolitan Museum of Art's new exhibition 'Costume Art'.
This annual exhibition sits at the heart of global culture – this year exploring fashion, art and the many bodies that bring both to life: the abstract body, the ageing body, the classic body, the vital body, the disabled body. It is a landmark moment for representation in one of the world's most celebrated cultural institutions.
Referencing our work over the most recent MFA season with Chet Lo, where we made his show accessible to blind and low vision audiences through tactile swatch booklets and audio descriptions.
As a small, grassroots organisation, this is such an important moment - not just for us, but for the community we support. For Hair & Care to be a part of this huge cultural moment, recognised in one of the world's greatest museums, means more than we can easily put into words.
