London & Copenhagen Fashion Week

AW24 & SS25

Sinéad O'Dwyer was MFA's first designer partnership, launching the initiative at her AW24 show in February 2024. A natural collaboration, Sinéad is renowned for her commitment to inclusivity in both design and casting. Our work together continued in Copenhagen for Sinéad's SS25 show following her Zalando Visionary Award win. Here, Hair & Care championed the inclusion of the first blind model to walk the Copenhagen Fashion Week runway, with Lucy Edwards. A historic moment, and a meaningful step for representation - garnering recognition across British and Scandinavian Vogue, BBC, Dazed and more.

  • ‘Being part of a project that made the show accessible to blind guests and models pushed us to think differently about design and inclusivity. It was a humbling reminder of how impactful thoughtful adjustments can be.’

    —Emilio Osei-Bonsu, Co-Founder - Subrosa Production

  • ‘Working with Hair & Care has been an amazing opportunity to learn about accessibility for blind and low vision people and how to bring our brand to that community through a multi sensory world.’

    —Sinead O’Dwyer, Designer

  • 'I'm really excited. This [featuring a blind model on the runway] is definitely something that's made me think in a different way. Ours is a complex route compared to other runways, and it after rehearsal it all looks seamless and brilliant. I think it's massively opening the door for other possibilities'.

    — Grace Nicol, Movement Director - Sinead O’Dwyer

  • 'I’m amazed about the hard work that Hair & Care have put in to make Sinead’s show accessible and inclusive for me and the other guests. I really hope that other designers will be inspired by Hair & Care’s ambitions of creating a more diverse, inclusive and accessible industry.'

    — Ask Abildgaard, VI MFA guest, and Head of the Danish Association of the Blind
